Went out at lunch today to check on the options for floors in Bermuda. We went to:
Stafford first:
They had a good selection and the engineered floos and some Hardwood. Everyone recommends the engineered floors though as they are low maintance and can hold up to moisture better. These were roughly $13-$14 a square foot. The hardwood floors were roughly $21 a square foot and then they also had their own design which was $7 a square foot. Instillation is $5.50 a square foot.
Arnold's Tile
They had items for the bathroom which were some nice cream colour and a reasonable price of 6.39 a square foot. Also had some more expensive tiles, which we weren't too interested in. Monique the lady that worked there, said that Porceline was the way to go and you can check the quality of it, by look at the edges for cracks and brakes. Also you can't garentee the colour of the tile as each shipment is a little different.
Brick yard
We went there and there was no one to help us, so all we saw was the outside items, not sure if they sell the red brick for the interior. Tony is going to get us some sample to look at though.
Sousa Carpet
Had the Engineered wood only, no hard wood. They had some good colour selection, but was more pricey than stafford at $9-$11 a square foot. They told us about the base board and how having many layers was good and helped with avoiding the moisture issues as stops warping.
BAC
We also stopped by BAC to check it out and see exactly what they have. We can pretty much select what we want on the internet and they shall get it in for us as long as it is the lines of products they bring in.
